RIDE OUT
Photography
These photographs began when a ride out suddenly passed through an affluent London high street, a space where the individuals would ordinarily be unseen. Traffic stopped as the group moved through the street at speed, briefly disrupting routine and expectation.
After that initial encounter, I joined the riders on a subsequent outing. Acting together, they occupied the city deliberately and temporarily, shifting attention and control in a way that could not be ignored.
Rather than framing the moment as confrontation or spectacle, the photographs observe a short-lived reversal — where visibility, authority, and presence moved, briefly, in their favour.
