YORK HALL
York Hall is an ongoing body of work made inside one of boxing’s most intimate and uncompromising venues.
Fighters prepare in cramped back rooms before passing directly through the crowd and into the ring. There is no separation between audience and action. Every decision is witnessed. Every mistake is felt.
The photographs focus on moments of suspension — the walk to the ring, the pause between rounds, the aftermath of a knockdown — where a fighter is briefly alone with what comes next. Anticipation and consequence sit inches apart, carried internally before being played out in public.
The work avoids spectacle, staying with the moments where outcome has not yet arrived, but is already unavoidable.
