Portraits
Photography
These portraits are made across different contexts. Some as stand-alone sittings, others drawn from longer bodies of work and re-presented here.
What links them is not subject or setting, but attention.
The images sit with people rather than describe them, often made quickly, sometimes under pressure, allowing expression, movement or stillness to surface without instruction.
I’m less interested in performance than in what remains when it falls away.
The work tends to live just after effort, impact or concentration, when something internal is still settling.
